cakap cakap : It is now 4.25 am here in Melbourne. The silence is deafening. How can quiet be deafening? Try it. Try waking up at this hour and sit listening to everything around you. Nothing stirs. Your ears hear the silence with a clarity that deafens you. These are the hours that make possible pure unadulterated thoughts. These are the hours that I dare to think of the possible and the impossible. I know that it is possible for our country and our people to hope that all will be well with this Pakatan Harapan government – the one we put into Putrajaya just over a year ago. And even as I think of this possibility, I am overwhelmed by the impossibility of that possibility. Let me be blunt. Those of you who can leave Malaysia. Leave. Those of you who cannot, weep for what is to come. Those of you who choose to stay…ask yourself “why?”.

Why stay when Armageddon will come with the certainty of the sun rising in the East?

PKR is imploding. Its finest sons and daughters are no longer its strength. Tian Chua, Rafizi, Nurrul, Azmi, and many others who were once the future of PKR are now it’s past. Not covered with glory for the services they have rendered to PKR but cast double double, toil and trouble into the cauldron to boil and bake like a hell-broth boil and bubble…never, unlike Mahathir…never to rise again. Azizah knows her position is untenable and yet she has to cling to what she now has until even that is taken away from her by the toxic tide that Anwar Ibrahim brings with him as he emerges from Sungai Buloh and set his sight on being what we all do not want him to be…PM. DSAI is almost done with PKR. It is now almost a party of those totally beholden to DSAI and like DSAI, it is all talk…no walk!

Now DSAI will do to PH what he has already done to PKR albeit with Tun Dr. Mahathir in his way: an almost irresistible force bearing down against a certainly unmovable object. DSAI against Tun Mahathir. The lesser players are jostling for position. You and I know that there can only be one winner in all this: UMNO! And once back in Putrajaya, Umno will legislate to ensure they will stay in power as they did “dulu”. With legislation, their “kini” not only begins but will “kekal selama lama nya”.

Enough said. Again let me be blunt. Those of you who can leave Malaysia. Leave. Those of you who cannot weep for what is to come. Those of you who choose to stay…ask yourself “why?”.
